Privacy Policy
How Powerhouse Christchurch collects, uses and protects your information.
Last updated: 16 September 2026
At Powerhouse, your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal information when you interact with us — online, in person, or through our advertising platforms. It covers this website and our member portal.
1. Information we collect
We may collect the following types of information when you interact with us:
- Contact details — such as your name, email address and phone number (for example when you fill out a form or book a tour)
- Business or company information — such as your role or business name
- Usage data — such as how you interact with our website, social media pages or ads
- Membership or booking details — if you join our coworking community or book a meeting space
We also collect some information automatically through cookies and analytics tools, described in section 5.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your enquiries and provide information about our coworking memberships or services
- Manage bookings, memberships and communication with our members
- Send occasional updates or promotional offers (you can unsubscribe anytime)
- Improve our website, services and advertising performance
We will never sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
3. How we store and protect your data
Your information is stored securely and is only accessible by authorised staff. We use secure digital systems — such as Nexudus, Xero and Google Workspace — to manage member and lead information. This website is hosted on Cloudflare, and enquiries sent through our contact form are delivered to us by Web3Forms.
If we share data with trusted service providers (for example for marketing or billing), it is only for purposes directly related to operating Powerhouse, and always under confidentiality agreements. Some of these providers store information overseas, where it is subject to the laws of those countries.
We keep enquiry information only as long as it is useful for following up. Membership and financial records are held for seven years, as New Zealand tax rules require.
4. Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:
- Request access to any personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete your information if it is inaccurate or no longer needed
To make a request, email info@power-house.co.nz. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use our website and to make our advertising more relevant. Specifically:
- Google Analytics — tells us how many people visit, which pages they read and roughly where they came from. We use this in aggregate, not to identify you personally.
- Meta Pixel — lets us measure whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to enquiries, and show ads to people who have visited the site.
You can adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies, or opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Your Facebook and Instagram ad settings control what Meta shows you. Blocking these does not stop you using the site.
6. Updates to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
